What Drives Us

Our Mission

New Dawn Malinois Rehoming was founded in 2017.
Our mission is to place Belgian Malinois that are unwanted and abandoned into working homes. These homes may be with the police, private security, medical alert, anti-poaching, prison and fire service.
It is our hope that by doing this we can help stop the countless number of Malinois’ that have been bought as pets by members of the public, from being dumped, put into pet type rescue centres, or sadly, euthanized.
Many times, the owners of these dogs seek help from trainers and vets.
Due to the nature of this very complex and specialist breed they are often deemed to be dangerous, aggressive and untrainable.
The owners are then advised to have their beloved pet euthanized.
At New Dawn Malinois Rehoming we have worked hard to establish and promote awareness of our cause and the dogs in our care.
We also offer advice and guidance to people thinking of having a Malinois.
When a dog is rehomed from New Dawn Malinois Rehoming they leave us with life time support, we take responsibility for every dog in our care even after an adoption has happened.
If for any reason the new owner is unable to keep their dog, New Dawn will help by taking the dog into our care and finding a suitable new home for the dog.
We run solely on donations from members of the public. We also have a fantastic team of volunteers who foster, transport, carry out home checks and fundraising for us.
We hope to be able to raise enough funds to be able to open both northern and southern centres. In doing this we hope to be able to care for and house more dogs and place them in experienced, knowledgeable and long term working homes.
We do not breed from nor allow breeding from any of the dogs’ in New Dawn’s care. We operate a strict neutering and spaying policy.
